I simply love people. Each person is his or her own world, different and interesting. Some of them were or still are my companions, friends, acquaintances. I depicted a few, some in passing, others at their request, whether in drawing, watercolour, pastel or oil. As with the human figure, I try to capture the essence of a particular person in portraits as well. Sometimes in the form of caricature.
